Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who directed Ms. Marvel, recently disclosed which potential films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe they could be interested in helming for Marvel Studios. The directors said in an interview that they intend to helm sequels to Marvel Studios’ forthcoming Blade and Deadpool 3. Well, you know, if they asked us to return to Ms. Marvel, El Arbi remarked, “It would be an honour to come back and explore some more. We love the universe, we love those characters, and we love Iman, and all of the other supporting actors there.””We can go there since there is a Moroccan superhero we failed to mention. And we adore Blade, you know.Now acting in Blade is our friend Yann Demange.We can still do the second movie even if Yann decides not to.Additionally, Deadpool can always count on us. We’re willing to participate if there’s a fourth, so if they call, we’re available. The first and sixth episodes of Ms. Marvel Season 1, which released on Disney+ in June 2022, were directed by the filmmaking pair Adil & Bilall. In addition, the filmmakers are credited with directing the films Black (2015), Gangsta (2018), and Bad Boys for Life (2020), the latter of which starring Martin Lawrence and Will Smith. The untitled fourth Bad Boys film was directed by Adil & Bilall once again, but filming was put on hold in July 2023 as a result of the SAG-AFTRA strike. The team behind Max (now known as Max) also helmed the DC Extended Universe movie Batgirl, which was initially scheduled to premiere on HBO Max in 2022. Batgirl was shelved by Warner Bros. Discovery in August 2022, though, since the business had written the movie off for tax considerations.
The events of The Flash, which saw the return of Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne/Batman, would have preceded the events of Batgirl. Adil & Bilall’s Batgirl movie would have featured Keaton’s Batman in a minor but significant capacity. The directors talked about viewing The Flash and wishing they could have showcased their work to the DCEU during a recent interview. “We watched it and were sad,” El Arbi added. “We adore the film’s producer, his sister Barbara, and director Andy Muschietti. However, while we watched it, we thought we might have been a part of it all. We were unable to publicly unveil Batgirl and let viewers to form their own opinions. Because ultimately, the audience should choose if something is excellent or awful and whether it should be seen or not. The duo said they would still be interested to directing another picture for DC Studios even though WBD shelved their Batgirl movie. As fans, El Arbi said, “We could never say no to another project because of how much we love DC, Batman, Batgirl, and Gotham City.” “We would participate if given the opportunity to do so again. We were denied a court appearance. We still intend to argue our position.
