Before Loki season 1’s Blu-ray release, a deleted scene from the Disney+ series was made public. What it exposes has very different ramifications for the relationship between the title character and his variation, Sylvie. According to IGN, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki and Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie, a Loki variation, interacted significantly differently in the middle of the series. Loki and Sylvie bond on the planet’s disintegrating moon in Episode 4, “The Nexus Event,” setting the stage for their future relationship and character growth. The deleted scene’s scenario would have happened early in the show, just before the two leave for Lamentis-1.
In an effort to persuade the Renslayer and Mobius-led crew that his first escape with his version was a part of his plan for her capture, Loki, the God of Mischief, betrays Sylvie to the Time Variance Authority. Sylvie bites at his arm in retaliation after he makes this revelation while holding a knife to her throat. The TVA captures Loki, who is confused, and neutralises Sylvie as she tries to flee, with Mobius expressing his lack of confidence in him. The moment would have given the programme a different plot twist.
According to remarks made by executive producer Kevin Wright, Victor Timely, a variation of the most recent Marvel Cinematic Universe bad guy Kang the Conqueror, will play a significant part in Loki’s second season. He said, “Victor Timely is someone who we are really, very thrilled about. “When you look at Kang, you’ll see that his comical past is quite humorous. There are several variations of him. One thing we’ve always wanted to achieve with Loki was timely. And I believe that we are quite enthusiastic about how that fits into the season. It plays a major role in the programme. Many commentators speculated that Loki’s second season will be reworked to minimise Jonathan Majors’ Victor Timely’s part because to Majors’ actual legal difficulties. Wright’s remarks are consistent with a rumour that claimed to disclose how much screen time Majors will have in the next Marvel Cinematic Universe series. According to the rumour, Timely, a Kang the Conqueror variation, would feature in four out of the six episodes of Loki Season 2.
