Marvel’s Spider-Man 2—the studio’s first full-fledged Marvel sequel—is being released by Insomniac Entertainment in the wake of the successes of Marvel’s Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales. This time, when the wall-crawling team fights Kraven the Hunter and Venom, gamers will assume the roles of both Peter Parker and Miles Morales. Today, @SpiderMan_Newz shared a Brazilian teaser for the much anticipated game on X.

The trailer shows Tony Todd’s exceptionally huge Venom fighting Peter and Miles, who are portrayed by Yuri Lowenthal and Nadji Jeter, respectively. The adversary may be seen throwing the wall-crawlers about before they use their unique skills to counterattack. While Miles uses his electric Venom Charge, a defining feature from his solo game, Peter is armed with Iron Spider Arms, a possible upgrade from the previous game. The 30-second trailer focuses on the tenacious heroes as they prepare to face the towering symbiote and is purely computer-generated material, not gameplay. Although a number of teasers, music videos, and first-look posters have been released, the actual clash and the enormous disparity between the superhero team and Marvel’s malevolent extraterrestrial symbiote have remained a secret until now. Along with the English translation, the teaser includes the Portuguese translation of the game’s slogan, “Better Together.”

Eddie Brock is often the host of Venom in Marvel Comics, but it seems like Insomniac’s universe is going in a different path with either Harry Osborn or Kraven the Hunter taking on that role. It should be noted that the two characters, who have been confirmed to have a significant part in Spider-Man 2, were gone for the most of the first film. Harry emerges as the front-runner since he already has a symbiotic link, but Kraven’s chase through New York City may potentially lead him to the symbiote, giving him superhuman strength. Some theories contend that Peter Parker himself may turn into Venom. Although Insomniac and PlayStation have refuted this hypothesis, Spider-Man actor Lowenthal has alluded to a symbiote-caused “addiction.”
