Deadpool 3 will apparently have an appearance from Loki’s Time Variance Authority, but it won’t be the characters that were originally speculated to appear in the forthcoming third installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Deadpool 3 will feature the TVA’s Minutemen, warriors that are ordered to find and jail those who cause a nexus event in the Sacred Timeline, according to reliable insider CanWeGetSomeToast on X. After Loki executive producer Kevin Wright hinted that the TVA would appear in MCU works other than the Disney+ series, the scooper disclosed the cameos. It is unclear at this moment if the Minutemen from Deadpool 3 will be familiar figures first presented in Loki or wholly original characters.
The most recent information from CanWeGetSomeToast does not include Tara Strong’s Miss Minutes and Owen Wilson’s Agent Mobius, who both had appearances in Deadpool 3 according to insider Jeff Sneider in March 2023. Strong initially expressed scepticism about her character’s participation in the threequel, but saying she would “certainly be down to do it, I think that would be fun.” Sneider said that Agent Mobius and Miss Minutes will show up in the third installment during a sequence in which Deadpool encounters the TVA. Fans should treat these rumours with a grain of scepticism until Marvel Studios confirms that the Loki characters will return in Deadpool 3 even if Mobius and Miss Minutes may have been replaced in the scene with nameless Minutemen.
The rumoured cameo list for Deadpool 3 includes more than just MCU actors. According to reports, a number of cast members from the popular R-rated superhero picture series from 20th Century Fox, including Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, and James Marsden, who played Storm, Jean Grey, and Cyclops in the first three films, may participate. It’s also said that Channing Tatum would play Gambit, an X-Men member, in the movie. A Gambit spinoff movie starring the actor had been planned since 2014, but after Disney acquired 20th Century Fox in 2019, the production was shelved. Dafne Keen, who portrayed the Wolverine mutant’s daughter in the 2017 film Logan, is also said to be in negotiations to play Laura/X-23 in Deadpool 3. CanWeGetSomeToast claims that Marvel Studios and Keen were negotiating about the role reprisal just before the Screen Actors Guild strike put an end to discussions. The scooper said, “They anticipated the strikes and are hoping schedules align once the studios pay actors and writers fairly.”
