Recently released set photos from Deadpool 3 have hinted at crossovers with the Fantastic Four, the Disney+ series Loki, and the first three X-Men movies. The pictures, which showed an actor on set dressed like one of the TVA Minute Men from Loki, were uploaded to the X account by reliable scooper CanWeGetSomeToast. Based on his appearance in the 2000 X-Men film, another image presents the first glimpse of Toad, the villain of the X-Men, riding in the Fantastic Four’s Fantasticar alongside an unidentified character. The new pictures follow a few days ago’s batch of set photos that suggested Sabretooth—possibly reprising his role—was a part of the third installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and would appear alongside Deadpool and Wolverine in a bloody action sequence.
Not every new picture from the eagerly awaited superhero sequel, though, has been obtained through set photo leaks. Ryan Reynolds’ furry co-star in Deadpool 3, Dogpool, recently revealed an official image of the two. In the picture, Reynolds is shown without a mask and wearing makeup, playing Deadpool’s sidekick Wade Wilson. The actor seems irritated by the Merc with a Bark licking his face. “It appears to be an avocado. Tastes like dog shit,” the dog wrote as the picture’s caption. Dogpool is thought to be one of several Merc with a Mouth variations that will appear in the MCU film Deadpool 3, even though his exact role in the film is still unknown.
Deadpool 3 will add to the growing list of Marvel Cinematic Universe productions that have made use of the Multiverse, which already includes the Disney+ series Loki, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Deadpool 3 will see Deadpool travelling through the Multiverse and interacting with various 20th Century Fox Marvel characters, including Dafne Keen’s X-23, Jennifer Garner’s Elektra, and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. Marvel Studios is working to keep plot details for the film hidden in the Disney Vault. In addition to Reynolds and Jackman, Deadpool 3 will star a number of actors from the first two parts of the Merc with a Mouth film trilogy, including Leslie Uggams as Deadpool’s blind elderly roommate; Karan Soni as Dopinder, a taxi driver and de facto chauffeur; Stefan Kapičić as the voice of Colossus, a member of the X-Men; Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, a teenage member of the X-Men; Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, a teenage girl and fellow X-Men member; Morena Baccarin as Vanessa.
