Shameik Moore, who plays Miles Morales in the animated series, talks about the impending storyline in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. Following the much-discussed cliffhanger in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, a lot of people have made predictions on the plot and path of the next Spider-Verse trilogy installment. Shameik Moore promised more action and a deeper evolution of Miles and Gwen Stacy’s relationship in an interview at the Madame Web premiere. Moore continued by hinting at The Spot, the standout antagonist from Beyond the Spider-Verse, making a comeback. Moore declined to provide further information, such as the possible reunion of a number of beloved characters. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’s epilogue revealed that Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman is in charge of her own squad, which includes Spider-Man India, Peter B. Parker, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Punk, Spider-Ham, and Peni Parker. Along with Spider-Man 2099 and fresh incarnations of Miles and Aaron Davis, these characters are confirmed to make their appearance in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.

The release date for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is still unknown. The sequel was originally scheduled for release on March 29, 2024, but owing to a number of circumstances, including the length of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, Sony abruptly withdrew it from its release plan in July 2023. As a result, the company looked into other release dates. Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse received a major update, and the cast is scheduled to start voice-over recordings for the movie, after the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike.

“Action…you can expect Miles and Gwen,” Moore said. Everything is expected of you. Laughs You’re anticipating the sequel to the first one. You may anticipate The Spot, action-packed excitement, and challenges and issues to work through.”

An ensemble lead by women will be featured in a Spider-Verse spinoff that was revealed in November 2018. Later on, it was reported that Gwen Stacy, Jessica Drew, and Cindy Moon would be the main protagonists of the spinoff. In May 2023, producer Avi Arad said that the movie will be called Spider-Woman and that Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman would play the lead role. Daniel Kaluuya, the voice actor for Spider-Punk, stated, “As a fan, I would love to watch that.” Hobie Brown and his universe are something he wants to see more of. His world, with its blend of New York and London, intrigues me much. We discussed George Orwell’s 1984, and Hobie’s reality serves as a reminder of how awful it is. As a fan, I would want to see it, and if it materialises, it would be fantastic; if not, we have this.”
