Sony has created the ideal scenario for the MCU to produce its next Thanos.

After the Multiverse Saga, Sony could have provided the MCU with the solution it needs for its next Thanos. Many were taken aback when Sony revealed that Knull will be in Venom: The Last Dance. Although the extent of The King in Black’s influence is unknown, Knull is unquestionably the most formidable antagonist in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe. Although Knull’s live-action debut has long been awaited by audiences, there are worries that Sony may make him a one-and-done villain. Thankfully, Kelly Marcel, the director and co-writer of Venom 3, informed IGN that his narrative is only getting started.

The Black King is far too strong to be “one and done.” Knull is introduced in this movie, although it just skims the surface of his tale. The best villains in Marvel movies are created throughout time. Although Eddie and Venom’s connection is still at the center of this tale, Knull is the menace that lurks behind the danger that pushes their cooperation to its extreme limit.

As the parent of Venom, Carnage, and other formidable extraterrestrial creatures, Knull is well-known to comic book fans as the God of the Symbiotes. He is a strong eldritch god. Venom: The Last Dance will probably conclude with Knull’s return imminent since he is simply too powerful for Venom to defeat alone. Theoretically, that could happen again because Spider-Man: No Way Home was the first time the Sony universe and the MCU crossed over. Knull might develop into a multiverse evil that surpasses Thanos in power.

According to Marcel’s remarks, Knull will be introduced in Venom 3 and his tale will be continued in subsequent movies. It could be difficult to create the antagonist only inside the Sony universe, though. Knull doesn’t belong in a movie like Kraven the Hunter, and The Last Dance is ostensibly the last Venom movie. Apart from the Spider-Verse movies, Sony has no announced plans beyond Kraven, so it’s difficult to guess where Knull will next show up. Nonetheless, the symbiotes function as a single, cohesive entity, and a number of them are cognizant of the various worlds that other people have experienced. Venom’s brief transfer to the MCU and Vulture’s peculiar presence in Morbius are just two examples of the MCU’s past encounters with Sony’s Spider-Man Universe. Knull will probably spread throughout the MCU and become a problem for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and other Avengers as Sony’s characters won’t be sufficient to destroy him.

There was a major hint of a crossover between Venom and Holland’s Spider-Man at the end of Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Marvel and Sony have not seized on the tease, with the exception of a funny post-credit scene in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Although Venom’s symbiote was left in the MCU, it hasn’t been discussed yet. It seems pointless to include Venom in the MCU just for that sequence, but a multiversal antagonist may bring everything together. Venom’s entrance in the MCU would be fully justified by Knull’s arrival, which would also pave the way for a potential collaboration between Venom and Spider-Man. Although Venom 3 is the final movie in the series, Tom Hardy has stated that it is not his final role as Venom. Especially in a final fight with Knull, a crossover movie between him and Spider-Man may be a great way to wrap off his narrative. Additionally, it would defend the remaining Venom in the MCU. Peter could discover how to beat Knull if he appears if he discovers this small piece of Venom. The King in Black offers Sony the ideal chance to incorporate Spider-Man into its realm. Since Knull already has several ties to official lore, he works in the MCU. In the comics, he develops a weapon that can kill gods, All Black the Necrosword, which he uses to destroy a celestial. In Thor: Love and Thunder, Gorr the God Butcher used the Necrosword to murder many deities, introducing it to the MCU. It would be nice to see the Necrosword in the hands of its original owner and utilized more viciously, though, as a lot of it happened off-screen. Similar to Thanos, Knull’s existence in the MCU was predetermined before he showed there.
