The Rotten Tomatoes rating for Daredevil: Born Again finally reaches a significant milestone

Following the premiere of episode 9, Daredevil: Born Again surpasses a coveted Rotten Tomatoes milestone that has been achieved by every prior season of the Marvel television series. A number of surprising events and a significant cliffhanger that affects the plot of all street-level heroes and maybe every future Marvel production located in New York are included in Daredevil: Born Again episode 9, which wraps out the first installment of Matt Murdock’s MCU series. Daredevil: Born Again season 1 continues the tradition of Netflix’s three Daredevil seasons, ending on a thrilling yet terrifying note. The audience and reviewers’ ratings for Daredevil: Born Again never fell below 80%, but it wasn’t until episode 9 that the film was given the Certified Fresh certification. Rotten Tomatoes’ standards state that a program is considered Certified Fresh if it obtains at least twenty reviews and a score of 75%. Even though Daredevil: Born Again was eligible for Certified Fresh status from the first episode, Rotten Tomatoes didn’t give it the designation until the end of the first season. As of this now, Daredevil: Born Again has 200 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.

The several significant fatalities in Daredevil: Born Again were met with varying responses during the course of nine episodes. However, it’s ironic that while White Tiger’s murder didn’t stop episode 2’s Rotten Tomatoes ratings from slightly declining when episode 3 came out, Foggy Nelson’s stunning death was positively received by reviewers and viewers after episode 1. Commissioner Gallo’s horrific demise occurs in Daredevil: Born Again episode 9, which continues to receive excellent marks and earns a Certified Fresh designation. Frank Castle and Karen Page, whose complicated relationship made Netflix’s Daredevil seasons 2 and 3 popular with viewers, were also featured in Daredevil: Born Again episode 9. Wilson Fisk’s plans are able to succeed without any problems since Daredevil: Born Again season 1 finishes on a cliffhanger that unveils Daredevil’s resistance army. The ending of Daredevil: Born Again season 1 is unlikely to score higher on Rotten Tomatoes than the potentially dramatic climax of season 2, given its open-ended nature. Daredevil: Born Again season two, which premieres in 2026, has the benefit of expanding Daredevil’s conflict with Mayor Fisk into many additional episodes, but it also confronts the task of living up to season 1’s Certified Fresh standards.
