Actor Brett Goldstein, who starred in Thor: Love and Thunder, offered some original suggestions on how to defeat Chris Hemsworth’s Thor. Goldstein discussed his experience filming Love and Thunder as well as his experience portraying Hercules in an interview with Josh Horowitz for his Happy Sad Confused podcast. Goldstein hinted at a future clash between Thor and Hercules, and offered some extreme tactics his Greek deity may do to obtain the upper hand. His stand-up comedy career was his “heroin,” he claimed “The British actor proposed suffocating Thor with a needle. “Unfortunately, I just believe stand-up is like heroin; I need to perform it to feel normal. You must reward yourself once “said he. “Chris Hemsworth does heroin, right? That is not how I defeated him. Heroin. You’re all set. The C words can be removed. Introduce the heroin.”
During the conversation, Horowitz complemented Goldstein on his body hair and he also made a joke about how Hercules might defeat Thor by utilising it. In addition, he asserted that Hercules may cuss more frequently than Thor since Hemsworth refrains from doing so in speech. “Yeah, he doesn’t swear. He would be helpless to act. terrify him,” he stated. In the Thor: Love and Thunder post-credits sequence, Goldstein’s Hercules makes his MCU debut. The actor has talked about how shocked he was to be given the position and how he wasn’t approached until two weeks before production started. Goldstein accepted the challenge and soon put on weight to play the fabled strongman, which led to many moviegoers being surprised by his look.
When Thor: Love and Thunder debuted in July of last year, it quickly became a worldwide box office success, grossing over $760 million. The star-studded movie garnered positive reviews for its humour and acting despite mixed critical reception and a lower box office success than its predecessor, Thor: Ragnarok. Goldstein is best known for playing Roy Kent in the acclaimed sports comedy-drama Ted Lasso. He has also appeared in Robot Chicken, Doctor Who, and the James Bond franchise short film, Spectre of Shame. Goldstein joined the cast of Sony’s next Garfield film in November, joining Chris Pratt, Samuel L. Jackson, John Cena, and Bill Murray. In May 2024, the animated movie, which is based on the iconic titular comic strip by Jim Davis, opens in theatres.
