Finally, the world’s highest-grossing property will adapt Secret Invasion after 15 years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We genuinely didn’t think this day would arrive. The plot creates an impenetrable mystery around the Skrull invasion that appears to have taken over the identities of numerous heroes and villains, making it a very huge thing in the world of Marvel Comics. Nick Fury, a fan favourite played by Samuel L. Jackson, is entrusted with putting an end to it, and with a growing number of new characters joining the MCU in unconfirmed roles, the programme is appropriately shrouded in mystery. What do we truly know about Secret Invasion is a question that is raised by this. You can get all the information you need about the Secret Invasion cast, plot, and more here.
SECRET INVASION RELEASE DATE
The forthcoming espionage-themed adventure for Nick Fury and company isn’t set in stone yet, but that doesn’t mean we don’t know when to anticipate it. We’re hopeful that Secret Invasion will make an appearance soon; it’s scheduled to begin in early 2023. It feels like we’ve been waiting for fresh Marvel content for a while now, since since She-Hulk. The Hollywood Reporter is the source for the most recent information, which claims that Disney is reducing its Marvel output because of brand weariness. According to the statement, “Numbers matter today, and expenses will be defined and applied.” In contrast to the initial Phase 5 lineup, which included everything from X-Men ’97 to Agatha: Coven of Chaos, it now appears that only Loki Season 2 and Secret Invasion will premiere this year. Nonetheless, a release date for Secret Invasion would be excellent.
SECRET INVASION CAST MEMBERS
The aforementioned Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), Agent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), and Everett K. Ross are among the returning members of the Marvel militia seen in Secret Invasion (Martin Freeman). There’s also Don Cheadle’s Rhodey, and we’ll be shocked if none of these are hidden Skrulls. A-List celebrities are joining the series in droves, many of them in unheard-of roles. Olivia Colman, an Oscar winner, plays Sonya Falsworth, an old comrade of Nick Fury, and Dermot Mulroney portrays Michael Ritson, who appears to be the president.
Kingsley Ben-Adir plays the evil Graivk, the invading Skrull invasion’s commander, with unidentified parts going to Killian Scott, Christopher McDonald, and Carmen Ejogo. The major one is Emilia Clarke from Game of Thrones and the uncertainty surrounding her contribution. All indications point to Clarke as important mutant and S.W.O.R.D. director Abigail Brand, who has green hair. In 2021, Clarke joined the cast, and at the time, he told ComicBook.com, “Being a member of that family makes you feel like the cool kid in school. That’s really fantastic.”
SECRET INVASION STORY
Who would have imagined that Marvel would keep the plot of Secret Invasion so tightly under wraps, but like many other Marvel franchises, we have a comic book to go off of. In the plot, Fury assumes command of a mission to expel a band of Skrulls that had slowly infiltrated Earth over a period of years while impersonating as humans. We’re going to wager right now that President Ritson is a Skrull. In the original comic, several heroes were also replaced by Skrulls, including Spider-Woman, who was actually a covert Skrull. We assume that some of our favourite Avengers may have been usurped by Skrull imposters as Jessica Drew isn’t a part of this reality yet.
Smulders said at Comic-Con 2022: “You’ll never be able to identify someone. They seem Skrull-like. Is it a person? It’s going to involve some guesswork.” Because The Marvels has been moved to November, it’s uncertain whether the connections between Secret Invasion and the WandaVision post-credits sequence with Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) being taken to space will still exist. Beyond that, it’s unclear how the Secret Invasion will fit into the MCU’s previous events. Although it has the vibe of a low-key Avengers picture, this ensemble is sure to have an impact on a lot of television shows and movies in the future.
