A new rumor revealed another MCU superhero who will join Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock in Disney+’s Daredevil: Born Again. Daredevil: Born Again will see Marvel’s Man Without Fear take on his first solo outing under Marvel Studios, and star Charlie Cox already teased potential MCU cameos to come in the 18-episode season. As production gets underway in New York City, the show just recently added another Marvel superhero with Jon Bernthal’s Punisher.
Many people expected this rumor because recently, The Hollywood Reporter said that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin will have important roles in the Disney+ show Echo, appearing in multiple episodes. This spin-off of the Hawkeye series will apparently set up the events in Daredevil: Born Again, which will feature the return of both Cox’s Matt Murdock and D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk. Both actors were seen in the trailer for Echo that was shown at Marvel Studios’ D23 panel in September 2022. Echo has had some problems during development and has been delayed, but it’s expected to be released in early 2024, just before Daredevil: Born Again starts its 18-episode season in the spring.
