Superheroes from comic books are enjoying a golden period in all kinds of narrative. On their way to become hugely successful juggernauts, superhero experiences have been developed in movies, television, and video games. The development team at Cliffhanger Games is made up of seasoned professionals that have previously worked on a long list of games, including Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, God of War, Call of Duty, and Halo Infinite. Industry veteran Kevin Stephens is the CEO of Cliffhanger Games. Stephens formerly held the position of vice president of Monolith Productions, a division of WB Games recognised for its outstanding Middle-earth series and upcoming Wonder Woman video game. Stephens started out as a gameplay programmer for 1997’s Claw and has spent the most of his gaming career at Monolith. Since then, Stephens has contributed to a wide range of games, including Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Middle-earth: Shadow of War as well as Aliens vs. Predator 2, Tron 2.0, F.E.A.R., F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin, Condemned: Criminal Origins, and Condemned 2: Bloodshot. It certainly appears like the Black Panther video game is in excellent hands with Stephens leading Cliffhanger Games and the extensive and varied experience of his production team.
It could be a while before gamers can enter Wakanda because there is no release date for the Black Panther video game. Black Panther will unquestionably be worth the wait if it can live up to the expectations of franchise and superhero fans everywhere.
