In just a few years, Emma Corrin has quickly become a rising talent who is worth keeping an eye on. Corrin, who identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, rose to prominence for their depiction of the young Diana in the fourth season of The Crown as well as their compelling turns in My Policeman and Lady Chatterley’s Lover. Corrin will now make an appearance in the The OA production company’s mystery-thriller series A Murder at the End of the World. Before the strike action started, Corrin gave a career-spanning interview to Empire in which they expressed their excitement about working with Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, whom they admired for their exceptional originality and almost psychic ability to identify and foresee timely themes.
Corrin is moving away from historical dramas and exploring exhilarating new ground. Beyond A Murder, they have interesting projects in the works, such as a part in Robert Eggers’ eagerly awaited Nosferatu and their MCU debut with Deadpool 3. Corrin is keen to explore a villainous character since entering the MCU will allow them to do so for the first time. After seeing them on stage in Virginia Woolf’s Orlando, director Shawn Levy approached them about joining Deadpool 3. Corrin soon embraced the large and complex universe, realizing the phenomenon’s enormous relevance to fans and respecting the self-aware and critical nature of the Deadpool series, despite their lack of prior knowledge of the MCU’s detailed details.
Corrin acknowledges feeling lucky to be a part of such a cultural phenomena as they journey into the MCU. They recognize that the Marvel universe is incredibly complicated, but they have truly enjoyed exploring it and learning why it appeals to so many people. Emma Corrin’s already outstanding career in the entertainment business is expected to get additional pace thanks to their future appearances in A Murder at the End of the World and Deadpool 3.
