A glimpse at the forthcoming program Daredevil: Born Again was revealed at D23, an event where Disney unveils numerous of their upcoming projects, castings, sneak peaks, etc. Numerous well-liked characters, including some debutants, seem set to make a comeback. The first teaser for Daredevil: Born Again, the Netflix spinoff of Daredevil, has been released by Marvel Studios (MCU). The video featured Matt Murdock with his adversary Kingpin and the reappearance of Jon Berthal’s Punisher, following his roles in a number of MCU films, including Spider-Man: No Way Home, Echo, and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. The father of Kamala Khan also reappears, marking the character’s and her family’s most recent mention since The Marvels. But that’s not all—new faces also surface, among them White Tiger, a much awaited figure.
White Tiger: Who is she? Marvel describes the character as a hero who gains strength from the combination of the Tiger Amulets, which, when worn collectively, transform the user into a master of martial arts. Hector Ayala decides to use the costume’s second identities to combat crime in secret after discovering all of them one day. Although there are other White Tigers in the comics, such as Ava Ayala and Angela Del Toro, the one seen in the video is Hector. After revealing his intention to run for mayor at the conclusion of Echo and learning Daredevil’s actual identity, Kingpin returns. It’s also implied that the creative serial killer Muse, whose debut in comic books consisted of a mural made with the blood of 100 missing persons, will make an appearance. Many were concerned that the new show wouldn’t maintain the tone of darkness that it was known for, but the trailer promises a dismal atmosphere and several horrific battle sequences. Foggy Nelson and Karen Page, two fan favorites, will also be back on the program.
