A massive Secret Wars easter egg is hidden in plain sight in the Deadpool 3 trailer

Deadpool 3’s first trailer, dubbed Deadpool & Wolverine, has finally surfaced, and Marvel fans are already pointing out several intriguing easter eggs concealed therein. The last scene of the teaser shows Ryan Reynolds’s character, Deadpool, lying on the ground while Hugh Jackman’s character, Wolverine, approaches in silhouette. With the exception of an odd bit of trash on the left side of the screen, which swiftly disappears from view when the camera zooms in, the ground is almost completely empty. Upon closer inspection, the object turns out to be a broken Secret Wars comic book, which breaks the fourth wall and teases the impending Secret Wars movie. Below is a screen grab of the Easter egg.

Specifically, the comic looks to be Secret Wars, released by Marvel Comics in 2015. The fact that God Emperor Doom appears in the narrative may also imply that Deadpool & Wolverine will contain the supervillain. It’s also likely that the comic was incorporated into the movie to help establish these characters’ potential roles in Avengers: Secret Wars, which is anticipated to bring together a number of Marvel heroes from the multiverse. Either way, a lot of Marvel fans are discussing about the Easter egg on social media. The announcement of the teaser, which revealed that Deadpool 3 will be titled Deadpool & Wolverine, officially validated the rumours that the film will have a more unusual title. That should demonstrate how crucial Hugh Jackman’s portrayal of Wolverine is to the movie, which is more about the strange bond between the two characters than it is a stand-alone picture of Deadpool. With “Best Friends” necklaces that showcase both Deadpool and Wolverine’s mask designs, the billboard also alluded to the friendship between the two characters. Wolverine and Deadpool were directed by Shawn Levy. Levy, Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells wrote the script. Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Rob Delaney as Peter, Matthew Macfadyen as a TVA agent, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, and Karan Soni as Dopinder are among the other confirmed cast members. In addition, Emma Corrin is set to portray an unidentified villain, and there are endless rumours of further noteworthy unexpected appearances.
