A new Disney+ Daredevil set image reveals an Easter egg for Ant-Man

Spread MCU News

Marvel fans are in for a treat with the upcoming Daredevil series on Disney+. Recently, set photos of Daredevil: Born Again have surfaced and eagle-eyed fans have spotted an Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania Easter egg.

In the sequel to Ant-Man and The Wasp, Hope van Dyne established the Pym van Dyne Foundation after returning from the Blip. The foundation aimed to solve world problems, including the housing crisis caused by The Blip. In the set photos, the Pym van Dyne Foundation logo can be seen, suggesting that the New Year celebration event featured in the scene was sponsored, at least in part, by Hope’s foundation.

The celebration appears to be taking place in Times Square, New York, with a Wilson Fisk foam fist present in the scene. This leads fans to believe that the event is taking place in 2025 since Fisk would have just been defeated and shot in the eye by Maya Lopez in 2024. Furthermore, the height of the housing crisis occurred in 2023, and Hope van Dyne’s foundation did not receive a single mention during that year, making 2025 the most likely year for the celebration to occur.

The Pym van Dyne Foundation Easter egg is a cool nod to the scope of Hope’s foundation in-universe. The fact that the celebration is sponsored by a foundation based in Los Angeles, taking place in New York, also adds to the curiosity surrounding the event. However, it is most likely just a small Easter egg to help flesh out the world.

It’s worth noting that the MCU has continued to stay three years ahead of the real world, as the celebration scene takes place in 2025, yet the series is expected to stream on Disney+ in Spring 2024. With this revelation and the anticipation of the upcoming series, fans are surely excited to see what other Easter eggs and nods to the MCU will appear in Daredevil: Born Again.
