According to a recent leak, Ryan Gosling may be in consideration for a Fantastic Four role by Marvel.
Insider Jeff Sneider of The Hot Mic podcast claims that the Oscar-nominated Ryan Gosling is the newest actor to be linked to the Fantastic Four revival. Sneider asserted that he has heard rumblings that Marvel wants Gosling to play Fantastic Four among other casting speculations for the much awaited 2025 film. What part he would play in the film is unclear, though. Gosling’s celebrity profile may help Reed Richards, the patriarch of Marvel’s First Family, if he were to join the Fantastic Four. The movie’s participation with Ryan Gosling hasn’t been confirmed by Marvel Studios, yet.
A Silver Surfer Disney+ special is reportedly in the works as the Marvel Cinematic Universe enters Phase 5. The project would follow a pattern similar to Marvel’s other Disney+ original special presentations, such Werewolf by Night and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, and would centre on the Silver Surfer doing work for Galactus in remote parts of the galaxy. The Silver Surfer reportedly won’t attend the exclusive presentation on Earth. However, it appears to be scheduled for release before the Fantastic Four film, indicating a connection between the two initiatives.
At the time of writing, the Silver Surfer part is still vacant, and Reed Richards’ replacement is apparently being sought after by a number of prominent actors. According to rumours, Adam Driver from Star Wars is Marvel Studios’ preferred option to play Richards in the MCU. Diego Luna, who is from Andor, has also been linked to the desired position. In response to the speculations, though, Luna seems less certain that he would be the one to portray Richards. “The only thing I can say is that I’ll be busy for the next two years. We’ll determine whether what I want to achieve is even filmable in two years “Moon remarked.
Whether or whether he joins the Fantastic Four ensemble, Ryan Gosling has already expressed a desire to be a part of a Marvel Studios production. Gosling reportedly begged Joe and Anthony Russo to assist him land a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe while they were working together on their 2022 film The Gray Man. “I’m hoping they can make this MCU thing happen. That seems like that would be nice “said he. Gosling has also reportedly expressed interest in portraying other Marvel characters, including Ghost Rider and the Sentry.
