Marvel fans have long-awaited the arrival of the popular Netflix series, Daredevil, to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). With the upcoming Disney+ reboot, titled Daredevil: Born Again, excitement among fans is at an all-time high. The show’s cast member, Michael Gandolfini, has teased that the upcoming series will feature MCU cameos, which is sure to add to the anticipation.

Daredevil: Born Again brings back Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin, and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, much to the delight of fans. In addition to the main cast, the show also features a star-studded lineup that includes Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, and Sandrine Holt, among others. With such a fantastic cast, it’s no wonder that fans are eager to see what’s in store for the upcoming series.

Speaking to Collider, Gandolfini discussed the potential for seeing MCU cameos in the show, hinting that the series is now part of a “much bigger world” within Marvel Studios’ Avengers universe that is filled with “other players” that could appear in the show. The idea of more MCU characters appearing in Daredevil: Born Again is sure to excite fans, who have been eagerly waiting for the arrival of the show.

The show’s star, Charlie Cox, has previously expressed his excitement about the potential for larger MCU crossovers. In an interview, he stated that when the show was on Netflix, they didn’t have the opportunity for crossovers with other MCU characters, other than the characters that they knew they had in the Netflix Marvel world. However, with Daredevil: Born Again, the show’s inclusion in the wider MCU offers the potential for many unexpected crossovers.

Gandolfini has also expressed his excitement about joining the MCU, stating that he teared up when he received his first text from the producer welcoming him to the MCU. He has shared very little about his character, only stating that he is from Staten Island. Fans have speculated that he could be playing a character called Stone, who fought alongside Daredevil in Staten Island in Marvel Comics. If this is the case, it could hint at an ally of the titular character.

With Daredevil: Born Again’s historic 18-episode length on Disney+, the show has ample time to incorporate many unexpected MCU crossovers. Aside from the main characters, there are many notable MCU characters who could potentially make an appearance. For instance, Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk could potentially return the favor after Daredevil appeared in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Other returning stars from Netflix’s Defenders, such as Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones and Mike Colter’s Luke Cage, could also potentially make an appearance.

In conclusion, the upcoming Disney+ reboot of Daredevil, Daredevil: Born Again, is sure to be a hit with Marvel fans. The inclusion of MCU cameos is sure to add to the excitement, and with a star-studded cast and the potential for unexpected crossovers, fans are eagerly awaiting the show’s premiere in Spring 2024.
