Only a few days after Denzel Washington revealed his participation in the Black Panther threequel, Marvel Studios formally announced the MCU’s Black Panther 3. T’Challa’s last farewell presented a significant obstacle for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, but the film’s extremely positive reviews and robust box office performance demonstrated that Ryan Coogler and his crew went above and beyond. The next major concern for the Black Panther series is what course Black Panther 3 may take now that the MCU has paid homage to Chadwick Boseman. Longtime Marvel Studios executive Nate Moore will leave Marvel following the 2025 release of Captain America: Brave New World, according to a report by Deadline. In addition to praising Nate Moore’s efforts, Marvel Studios head producers Kevin Feige and Louis D’Esposito disclosed that Moore will continue to collaborate with Marvel in a different role on Black Panther 3. See the remarks made by Feige and D’Esposito below:
“Nate is an amazing friend to all of us at Marvel Studios, as well as an excellent executive and colleague.” Since 2010, he has been an integral part of our team, and his impact will be felt in our narratives going forward. Even while we will really miss him, we are forward to see what he accomplishes next and are fortunate enough to collaborate with him in a different way on our next Black Panther film.
Moore had some thoughts about his departure as well. Moore, who has been an executive at Marvel Studios since 2010, is incredibly appreciative to Marvel. Moore also emphasized how thrilled he is to be a part of the upcoming Black Panther 3 in the MCU. Moore’s remarks are as follows:
“My time at Marvel Studios taught me almost everything I know about producing,” Moore remarked. “I consider myself fortunate to have collaborated with a team of individuals that share my passion for narrative and filmmaking, as well as my Marvel coworkers and the actors and crew of our movies. However, I’m thrilled to use my background and love of cinema to work on theatrical productions of all kinds, including Black Panther 3’s return to Wakanda.
The Fantastic Four, Spider-Man 4, Avengers: Doomsday, and Avengers: Secret Wars are just a few of the major motion pictures that Marvel Studios is currently developing and producing. Marvel is working on other films and television series, though, that haven’t seen many updates recently. Black Panther 3 became a real possibility when the conclusion of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hinted at the handover of power from Shuri to Toussaint. Although there isn’t an official release date yet, Marvel Studios’ announcement of Black Panther 3 puts the sequel on the MCU’s roster of planned projects. Marvel is unlikely to make many films in between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, which are scheduled for release in 2026 and 2027, respectively. Therefore, if Black Panther 3 is released in late 2026 or early 2027, its narrative may revolve on the universe, or it may focus on the aftermath of Avengers: Secret Wars in late 2027 or early 2028. Phase 6 or Phase 7 may see the release of further MCU sequels, such as Shang-Chi 2, Spider-Man 4, and Doctor Strange 3.
