There is some exciting news regarding Daredevil: Born Again. It is now clear when the program will debut on Disney+, despite the fact that the creative makeover of the series caused a significant postponement. It was disclosed at Disney’s upfront presentation that Daredevil: Born Again is scheduled to launch onDisney+ in March 2025. Even better, the show’s filming has finally concluded as well, following a substantial delay caused by creative retooling and the Hollywood strikes of 2023. Charlie Cox, the star of the series, told Deadline that the filming really ended a few weeks ago. Post-production should go well, so there shouldn’t be any further delays. Furthermore, Daredevil: Born Again’s new logo has been unveiled.

In February 2023, filming on Daredevil: Born Again got underway in New York City. However, the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes forced a halt to production in June. Marvel Studios started going over the already recorded material for the series at that point, and according to insiders, studio head Kevin Feige was not happy with what he saw. According to reports, he thought the show “wasn’t working,” which is why head writers Matt Corman and Chris Ord were quietly let go. In the process of looking for new writers and directors, the directors who were contracted to oversee the final unfilmed episodes were also let go.

Filming on Born Again began again in January 2024, with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead selected as the main directors and Dario Scardapane as the new showrunner. The previous Netflix/Marvel series (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, The Punisher, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Defenders) were formally incorporated to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s sacrosanct chronology as part of the creative makeover of the series, with Born Again serving as a direct successor to Daredevil. Born Again features a number of beloved Daredevil characters, including Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page and Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson, thanks to this fresh creative vision. In Born Again, Ayelet Zurer reprised her role as Vanessa Fisk, the wife of Kingpin, following her appearance in Netflix’s Daredevil. Sandrine Holt had played the role in a previous casting by Marvel, but after the creative reset, her sequences were cut and Zurer took over.
