Agatha All Along trailer teases Scarlet Witch’s return: hints at Wanda Maximoff’s comeback in the MCU

The latest Agatha All Along trailer has sparked speculation among fans about the potential return of Scarlet Witch, one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most formidable characters. Despite her apparent demise in the 2022 film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where she perished under Mount Wundagore, the new trailer has hinted at a possible comeback for Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff.

Serving as a spin-off to WandaVision, Agatha All Along has already brought back several characters from the Disney+ series, and the anticipation among fans for Wanda’s return has been palpable. The midseason trailer, in particular, has fueled these expectations with several intriguing moments. A brief shot of the glowing red Hex, which Wanda created in WandaVision, appears amidst footage from Episode 5. This Hex, which trapped Westview and its residents in a sitcom-inspired reality, is seen reflected in the window as a character sits in the backseat of a car, looking back at it.

The trailer also includes a scene where Billy Maximoff, one of Wanda’s superpowered twin sons, is heard yelling, “Mom!” as the car narrowly avoids oncoming traffic and crashes into a tree. This moment, combined with Agatha’s question, “What does Billy Maximoff want at the end of the Road?” suggests a deeper connection to Wanda’s story and potentially her return. The confirmation of Joe Locke’s character as Wiccan/Billy Maximoff in the MCU adds to the intrigue, hinting at a storyline that could involve the resurrection or reappearance of Scarlet Witch.
