At the People’s Choice Awards, Loki took home a significant victory. Loki took up the prize for Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show of the Year at the 49th annual People’s Choice Awards. Given that fans vote to choose the winners of the awards presentation, this was a noteworthy victory that demonstrated how well-liked Loki has grown after its second season onDisney+. Ahsoka and The Mandalorian were both nominated for Star Wars television series, thus Loki had to overcome them both to win. Secret Invasion, another MCU series, was also nominated; the other choices were The Witcher, Black Mirror, American Horror Story: Delicate, and Ghosts.

Tom Hiddleston accepted the prize and stated, “Thank you so much, I am so grateful for this great honour,” in his acceptance speech. Receiving this People’s Choice Award from you, the audience—the people who support us and enable us to accomplish what we do—is such an honour. As a producer and actor, I am really pleased of Loki’s second season. I must admit that I share this with the hundreds of talented artists that contributed to the creation of Loki.” Hiddleston hurriedly said, “I have played Loki for 14 years,” before continuing. I’ve never felt this way about the voyage, and I couldn’t have done it without you. I stand here because of your love for Loki, your curiosity, and your enthusiasm. Many thanks for it.”

There could be some fan interest in seeing a third season of Loki given the popularity of the second season. The show’s creators have been questioned about it, but generally speaking, Season 2 concluded the plot that started in Season 1. However, this does not imply that the tale of Loki cannot expand, with potential spinoffs concentrating more on other characters that viewers of the show had been familiar with throughout the first two seasons. Executive producer Kevin Wright stated, “We did treat this like a closing of the book,” during the Phase Zero podcast. “Season 1 represented one chapter, while Season 2 represented another. Ending here seemed appropriate. I will say this: I adore these characters and this universe. Of course, I would love to keep telling tales with Sylvie and the TVA. If it becomes possible, I would like telling more stories about Loki. Above all, though, I would adore carrying on with the group of people that brought these two seasons of the programme to life.”
