An alleged online leak of Echo’s updated episode count.

While eager Marvel Cinematic Universe fans wait for further information on the impending Echo series, a recent report asserts that the show’s episode count has been decreased. The Hawkeye spinoff has just five rather than six episodes, according to scooper CanWeGetSomeToast on X. Five episodes, each lasting around an hour, will make up the MCU series, according to sources close to Echo. The post states that there were initially 6 episodes, but one of them was removed because of pace concerns. It is advised that the story be treated with a grain of salt because the rumor’s specifics have not been made clear and Marvel Studios and Disney have not yet confirmed the allegation.

Echo, which is set after the events of Hawkeye, will follow the title character, Maya Lopez, as she departs New York City in an effort to get in touch with her Native American heritage and carve out a life for herself free of Wilson Fisk’s criminal influence. Alaqua Cox will reprise her role as the protagonist in the series, which also stars Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock, a.k.a. Daredevil, and Vincet D’Onofrio’s Kingpin. Although the specifics of the plot have not yet been revealed, prior rumours have indicated that Echo would acquire new abilities, including great shooting and a magical weapon that was a gift from her ancestors. For his role in the show, D’Onofrio has affirmed that viewers looking forward to the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again should watch Echo because Maya Lopez’s show will immediately lead into the revival. The last few episodes of Echo are “like full-on,” according to D’Onofrio. It’s going to be really interesting. Naturally, that then goes into Born Again.

Even though Echo hasn’t even aired, many fans are already upset with the way Marvel Studios handled the show. The business has stated that the show would break a Disney+ tradition by releasing all of its episodes at once rather than spacing them out over a number of weeks, despite a number of severe delays. Some have conjectured that Marvel doesn’t believe Echo will be successful, but this is just conjecture. Although a precise release date for the programme has not yet been made public, sources indicate that it will debut on the streaming service in the early months of 2024.
