Anthony Mackie of Marvel reveals his aspirations for Star Wars

Spread MCU News

Anthony Mackie, a star of the Marvel Studios, has discussed his desire to enter the Star Wars universe. Mackie is not the first celebrity to express a passion for the far-off cosmos; he gained fame as Sam Wilson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hollywood powerhouses like Daniel Craig and composer Michael Giachino have praised the franchise, and one specific duo even had the opportunity to feature in the Star Wars world. “Hey, when I heard they were doing- this is the one and only time I called my agency, and my manager, and said, ‘It’s going to be an issue,’ was when I heard they were doing ‘The Mandalorian,'” the speaker added. “Hey, now, I ain’t going to make this no dialogue,” I said. I’m not going to shout at you guys because I’m a celebrity, but we do need to—come on. Let’s go. The best is me. I’ve got the headgear. I actually have the ability to arrive at the location dressed for the shoot from home.”Hey, when I heard they were doing- this is the one and only time I called my agency, and my manager, and said, ‘It’s going to be an issue,’ was when I heard they were doing ‘The Mandalorian,'” the speaker added. “Hey, now, I ain’t going to make this no dialogue,” I said. Visions of a Mandalorian: Anthony Mackie

Anthony Mackie, who plays Captain America, spoke on Josh Howorwitz’s Happy Sad Confused programme and shared his desire to be a part of The Mandalorian and the entire Star Wars universe. Horowitz mentioned that Mackie may be a fan of George Lucas’ well-known sci-fi universe. In response, Mackie recalled phoning his agency and informing them, “The Mandalorian has been announced “Hey, I’m not going to start a conversation about this. I’m not going to get along because I’m a star “Declaring his intent to participate in the project:

“Hey, when I heard they were doing- this is the one and only time I called my agency, and my manager, and said, ‘It’s going to be an issue,’ was when I heard they were doing ‘The Mandalorian,'” the speaker added. “Hey, now, I ain’t going to make this no dialogue,” I said. I’m not going to shout at you guys because I’m a celebrity, but we do need to—come on. Let’s go. The best is me. I’ve got the headgear. I actually have the ability to arrive at the location dressed for the shoot from home.

The MCU actor said why he has a special affection for Mandalorians, saying “You simply never knew why, or what, or how.” There was something so special about Boba Fett’s movement across that cosmos that no one else could imitate, he said in regard to the first three films.

“You just never understood what, why, or how. Nobody other could replicate the way he walked through that cosmos because it was so singular. I’ve always wished I could be Lando. My childhood nickname was Lando. I made people refer to me by that name. But the Mandalorian—why that’s he…

When Mackie mentioned that his childhood pals called him Lando, Horowitz made fun of the actor, telling him that he “makes other people call him that:”

Horowitz: “Wait a minute, is that really your nickname when you insist on having it called after you? “This is my nickname; you must call me,” you say.

100%, says Mackie (laughs). 100%. You know how girls go out and give out a fake name at the club when they go out? That’s how I go out. Lando is still my fictitious name.

Horowitz: “Booking hotel rooms as Lando Calrissian. I find that amazing.

“No, no, no,” said Mackie. Lando Mackie, you’re aware.

When questioned about if this enthusiasm even led to the actor being contacted for the Star Wars streaming series, Mackie responded with a short “nah:”

Horowitz: “Sorry, I got off track there. That was the dream, then. Received a meeting? Did you overhear anything? Have you ever interacted with Star Wars or the Lucas [film] people?

“No,” said Mackie.

What? Horowitz

Mackie: “No, I wasn’t available since I was at work when they were scheduled to shoot.”

Although though he wasn’t available at the time, Mackie claimed that he is currently attempting to “grab one of those jobs in the background,” regretting that “all he wants is one scene:”

Is that genuine, Horowtiz? Would you have liked to have a conversation? You were merely at work? ”

“That’s genuine,” said Mackie. I was not accessible. I take off my helmet and say, “That was a long trip,” and that is all I’m doing. I’m aiming to get one of those jobs in the background where they are performing the thing. I only need one scene, please. Just let everyone know that I was one of them, please.

It’s always good to see that the actors people look up to are also fans of these series, and perhaps Anthony Mackie can one day achieve his goal. As the new Captain America at Marvel Studios, the actor will be highly busy for the foreseeable future, but there are still plenty of opportunities for him to make a cameo wearing some Mandalorian armour in the future. It’s not like the actor fumbled a franchise audition like one of his MCU co-stars did. He just had too much work to do when they were filming The Mandalorian to look for a leading part. Since that Mackie is already within the Disney complex and is well-liked by his MCU colleagues, why not let him go down the allegoric franchise corridor to a galaxy far, far away? And with the amount of upcoming Star Wars streaming programmes and the possibility of new films being produced in theatres, Mackie will undoubtedly be one of the first performers to be considered for a supporting part.

The next MCU film starring Anthony Mackie will be Captain America: New World Order, which will be released on May 3, 2024.
