Avengers: Kang Dynasty Supposedly Kills a Quantumania Star

A significant Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania character could die in Avengers: Kang Dynasty. One of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), or Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) will reportedly die in Kang Dynasty, according to an MCU insider. “For the Kang Dynasty, those deaths are being held back. Well, one of them, at least.” Perez tweeted this, but neither Marvel Studios nor Disney have formally confirmed it.

The third Ant-Man movie from Marvel Studios, Quantumania, launched Phase 5 of the MCU and featured Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror, the franchise’s newest adversary. The release date for Avengers: Kang Dynasty is unknown, with Majors playing as the title character. The sixth and final phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which will end with Avengers: Secret Wars in May 2026, will be represented by Kang Dynasty.

It is not yet known when or how the Ant-Man cast will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Rudd has already asked for a “laid back sequel” in the upcoming Ant-Man movie so that Scott Lang may spend some time with his daughter Cassie (Kahtryn Newton). As Rudd considered it, “it’s like this average person who has absolutely no intrinsic superpower has suddenly faced up against Thanos and Kang,” he remarked. “I just think you should give the guy a break. Just let him to relax on a beach.

But, producer Stephen Broussard said in a recent interview that discussions for a fourth Ant-Man were already underway. We’re already considering it, he declared. “Every movie is like its own struggle, and you live with the wounds from creating it and striving to make it great. Yet after the adventure of shooting the movie, hope springs eternal, and you begin to piece yourself back together. OK, what if we did X and what if we did Y? you ask.”

He went on, “You are unable to stop yourself once the wheels begin to revolve. You can’t help yourself, but I don’t want to say anything about what they are particularly. These discussions and murmurs have already begun between Peyton Reed, the director of the Ant-Man series, and Kevin Feige, the CEO of Marvel Studios.”

Peyton Reed, the film’s director, called Quantumania an Avengers-level movie because he didn’t want it to be viewed as a “palate cleanser” like other Ant-Man movies. The movie, in the director’s opinion, will have a significant impact on the MCU and should be seen in its entirety moving forward.
