Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who starred in Kraven the Hunter, had given up on big-budget films until getting the chance to play the comic book character. During an interview, Taylor-Johnson discussed his return to big budget blockbuster fare with his most recent movie, Kraven the Hunter, and how such a comeback was not always in the cards. Taylor-Johnson admitted, “I mean, quite honestly, I thought I’d genuinely been done with these types of films. “You cannot enter this position or the franchise it represents with a f***ing half-assed, ‘Let’s see how it goes attitude. You need to psychologically be ready for anything could follow that. I believe my life is solid enough now for me to know that I’m content to handle that. I doubt that I was prepared to accept it earlier in my life. Taylor-Johnson’s first significant movie star turn since Godzilla and Avengers: Age of Ultron comes in Kraven the Hunter. He offered few kind remarks about either movie in an interview. All of those opportunities presented themselves to me, starting with Kick-Ass and continuing with Godzilla and Avengers. But I wasn’t very fond of them. Since then, Taylor-Johnson has primarily played supporting roles in low-budget films like The Wall and A Million Little Pieces, with an odd major role.

The Spider-Man world created by Sony, which already contains Morbius and both Venom flicks, is intended to be further expanded with Kraven the Hunter. Kraven the Hunter and a few other Sony Pictures films have been delayed as a result of the continuing strikes; they were originally scheduled for release in 2023. The comic book movie chose a darker, more gruesome, and violent tone, earning Kraven the Hunter a R classification. This will be the first superhero movie in Sony’s library to do so, but owing to films like Deadpool, this kind of trend is starting to spread. In the Black Panther movie, Kraven the Hunter almost made his MCU debut as the main adversary. Erik Killmonger, a figure with a more obvious relation to the title superhero, was given that role instead. With varying degrees of success, Sony will now be able to carry on its history of providing supervillains their own origin flicks. The two Venom films have performed well at the box office, but neither critics nor moviegoers were very impressed by Morbius. Fans who are curious about the direction Kraven the Hunter will go will have to wait until 2024.
