Bradley Cooper has ventured into the real world with his depiction of Rocket Raccoon. Cooper has always provided the voice of Rocket Raccoon, the computer-generated cartoon character from the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy and subsequent MCU films. On set, Rocket is motion captured by Sean Gunn, but Cooper had to take on the role of the beloved character in person for Halloween. On Halloween, the actor dressed up as the real-life Rocket and went out with his daughter. Irina Shayk, his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his kid, had also donned a Rocket costume. Later on, pictures of Cooper dressed like Rocket became popular on the internet. Cooper first played Rocket Raccoon in the 2014 film Guardians of the Galaxy, and he has been the character’s voice actor for almost ten years. He would reprise the character for the sequels in 2017 and 2023, in addition to his roles in the Avengers films and Thor: Love and Thunder from the previous year. Cooper returned to the character for the Disney+ series I Am Groot and the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. At the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 premiere, Cooper told Access Hollywood, “We have Groot on the kitchen island,” indicating that his daughter was a major admirer. He said, “I voice Rocket for her all the time.”
The third installment of the James Gunn-directed Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy served as its conclusion. Although Gunn’s work at Marvel Studios is now complete because he is at DC Studios, this does not imply that Guardians of the Galaxy characters won’t appear in future projects. Another director may take up the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise and produce a fourth film. Cooper’s portrayal of Rocket may also appear in subsequent MCU films or Disney+ series. It would make sense for Rocket to appear in the next movie Avengers: Secret Wars, given that he was highlighted in the Secret Wars comic event. Bradley Cooper’s next role will be in the soon-to-be released Netflix film Maestro. Carey Mulligan plays the late composer Leonard Bernstein’s wife, Felicia Montealegre, in the movie, which was also directed by Cooper. Michael Urie, Sarah Silverman, Matt Bomer, and Maya Hawke are also featured in the movie. The movie will be available for viewing on Netflix on December 20 after it opens in theatres on November 22.
