Charlie Cox hopes to see his Daredevil meet an Avenger, but he doesn’t think it will.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has welcomed Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, but the actor would really want to see one particular teaming happen, but it doesn’t appear probable. According to sources, Cox spoke about a dream collaboration for his Daredevil in the MCU at his Wales Comic-Con appearance. Iron Man was his first pick since he liked the way the characters interacted in Marvel comic books, but Cox also pointed out that it’s implausible considering that Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr., died in Avengers: Endgame. Given how deceased characters have already made a comeback in the MCU, Cox also hinted that since “it’s Marvel,” you never truly know for sure.

Recently, Cox remarked, “I was actually catching up on some comics,” and he was reading one from 2020 in which Daredevil and Iron Man sort of run-in together. It’s fairly enjoyable. “I thought that would be very awesome. Since he’s deceased, I don’t think that’s feasible right now. But who knows—it’s Marvel, after all. I believe having that little time would be nice for a personal purpose.” The good news for Cox is that there have been rumours that RDJ would make an appearance in the MCU as Iron Man. Although there’s no official word on that as of yet, the multiverse’s arrival means that Downey might always make a comeback as a version from a different timeframe. Regardless, Cox is a huge fan of Downey and is content to be a part of the universe that the first Iron Man movie established.

Many people’s entertainment consumption habits have been shaped by Marvel’s cinematic universe for the past decade and a half, two decades, or however long it has been, Cox said. “A lot of that, in my opinion, is a credit to Robert Downey Jr. and the work he did with that character.” “That kind of, I almost sometimes think of Marvel as the House That Downey Built, you know what I mean?” There will be more of Cox’s Daredevil, however it is unclear when Downey will make a comeback to the MCU. The character made a fleeting appearance in the Echo teaser, indicating that he will co-star with Vincent D’Onofrio in Kingpin. Daredevil: Born Again, Cox and D’Onofrio’s own project, is also scheduled to rejoin.
