A few well-known actors have confirmed that they will be returning to their roles in Daredevil: Born Again, but the show’s central characters, according to main actor Charlie Cox, are these two. Charlie Cox treated fans to information during an AwesomeCon discussion that was streamed on X about Daredevil: Born Again, the long-overdue revival of Netflix’s cancelled series. Throughout the Q&A, Cox was all smiles, but she grinned especially when questioned about two of her former co-stars making a comeback to the programme. Following the viewing of the finished episodes by Marvel execs, Kevin Feige among them, Daredevil: Born Again was purportedly redesigned. A bright spot in the setback was the confirmation that Deborah Ann Woll’s character Karen Page and Elden Henson’s character Foggy Nelson will be making a comeback in the remake.

Cox recognised the roles that Woll and Henson played in the first Netflix series, which helped shape Matt Murdock’s moral compass. When Cox found out that neither character was in the original Disney+ remake script, he admittedly expressed disappointment. “Yeah, it was pretty heartbreaking when they weren’t around initially,” he continued. “It was evident that Foggy and Karen are sort of the centre of our programme when we resumed filming and they had made certain modifications, which you guys have undoubtedly read about and whatnot. They were always like that. So having them back feels incredibly special.” Cox also talked about the stolen images of Woll and Henson doing filming for Daredevil: Born Again. “Huge shout out to Deborah and to Elden,” he said. “I can talk about it since it’s online, and I know there are images, even some set shots that were released. However, it was really nice to relive some of the situations together.” The leaks also showed Jon Bernthal donning The Punisher’s tactical gear and Wilson Bethel making a comeback as Bullseye with a new outfit. After being officially confirmed for the part, Bernthal has been hinting at his impending comeback by mentioning The Punisher’s past.

Spider-Man: No Way Home originally hinted at Daredevil’s introduction into the MCU. Despite not being a Disney-only creation, the figure was still identified as being in Earth-616 or the canon MCU. Later, Cox made many appearances in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Echo episodes. The first Marvel characters to be brought to the MCU canon from the Netflix programmes were Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin.
