Hugh Jackman will finally show up in the upcoming Deadpool 3 sporting a Wolverine outfit that is true to the books, claims a fresh rumour. After the initial photographs of Ryan Reynolds’ new Deadpool outfit surfaced online, dependable insider CanWeGetSomeToast announced on Instagram that Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine would also be receiving some new clothing. Comic book aficionados, rejoice! In Deadpool 3, Wolverine WILL don the iconic yellow and blue outfit, mask included, the scooper declared. “The design is VERY close to his comic-book outfit from [Joss] Whedon and [John] Cassady’s Astonishing X-Men run in 2003, but with extended sleeves. It seems AMAZING.
The announcement will undoubtedly please the segment of the Marvel fanbase that flocked to Twitter quickly after Jackman’s Deadpool 3 casting was revealed to call for the actor to portray the character in the film wearing the character’s recognisable yellow suit. Although Jackman initially faced some opposition when he was chosen to play Weapon X in the 1999 film X-Men, his portrayal of the Marvel mutant ultimately won over both fans and detractors. The Merc with a Mouth previously travelled the cosmos in Deadpool 2 in order to murder the version of himself from X-Men Origins: Wolverine and “stop” Reynolds from playing the Green Lantern in the DC movie. According to an ancient rumour, Deadpool’s time-travelling antics would cause Loki’s Time Variance Authority to show up at his door, along with guest appearances from Tara Strong’s Miss Minutes and Agent Mobius, played by Owen Wilson. The latter, meanwhile, has questioned if they would feature in the threequel. In terms of casting, there have been rumours that Deadpool 3 would include cameos from actors from the first three X-Men movies. Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, and James Marsden are rumoured to be reprising their roles as Storm, Jean Grey, and Cyclops, respectively. It’s also said that Channing Tatum would play Gambit, an X-Men member, in the movie. A Gambit spinoff movie starring the actor had been planned since 2014, but after Disney acquired 20th Century Fox in 2019, the production was shelved.
