Movie director Matthew Vaughn, of X-Men: First Class, thinks Deadpool 3 will shock the MCU “back to life.” Vaughn stated in an interview that the movie’s snippets that he was familiar with pleased him. He said that the sparse details of Deadpool vs. Wolverine—or Wolverine vs. Deadpool, given that Ryan and Hugh are undoubtedly having a dispute right now—are absurd. That will be quite the shock. That corpse will be brought back to life in the Marvel universe with one of them coming up soon. Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds, in my opinion, are going to salvage the entire Marvel world.” Vaughn is hopeful that Marvel Studios will be able to produce thrilling X-Men storylines in the upcoming years thanks to the groundwork set by Deadpool 3. “I really do love the X-Men. “My only wish is for the films to be as excellent as they deserve to be,” he continued. Under Vaughn’s direction, X-Men: First Class (2011) effectively brought the series back to life, casting younger actors in key parts such as James McAvoy’s Professor X, Michael Fassbender’s Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique, and others.

In addition to hinting at the potential romance between Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds’ title Merc with a Mouth, the official Deadpool 3 logline also says that the MCU will change when the movie hits theatres. “The irresponsible hero Deadpool will change the history of the MCU with Wolverine!?” it begins. The summary goes into far more depth, suggesting that when a crisis arises, a disillusioned Wade Wilson will be brought back into the superhero fold.

“Wade Wilson formally retires Deadpool and starts a used car sales business after experiencing disappointments in his career and going through a midlife crisis. Deadpool chooses to pull his katanas out of retirement, though, when it comes to saving his friends, family, and the whole globe. In order to battle for their legacy in the end as well as their existence, he enlists a reluctant and cautious Wolverine.” Although it’s not stated in the narrative if Deadpool and Wolverine get along, there has been talk of a fight between the two. A fantastic ensemble will join Reynolds and Jackman in Deadpool 3. Jennifer Garner (Elektra), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), and Karan Soni (Dopinder) are in the cast. Additionally, director Shawn Levy has made several cameo references; Halle Berry and Taylor Swift are just two of the celebrities that have been mentioned.
