According to a recent rumour, Deadpool 3 from Marvel Studios would have twice as much of the Merc with a Mouth for Marvel fans. A tweet from reliable insider CanWeGetSomeToast claims that Deadpool 3 will have more than two Deadpool variations and at least one more Wolverine. The forthcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie will reportedly include time travel as a story mechanism, so it’s possible that Ryan Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth may encounter several versions of himself while travelling around the Multiverse in Deadpool 3. If this rumour is confirmed, Deadpool 3 will add its name to the expanding number of superhero movies that have built their plots on the Multiverse. The most recent instance is The Flash from DC Studios, but other shows like Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Loki from Disney+ are all guilty of having several iterations of their respective heroes.

Since May 2023, Deadpool 3 has been in production and is going under the working title “Tidal Wave.” Marvel Studios has thus far done a fantastic job of preventing press leaks of spoilers. Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, and James Marsden, who would reprise their roles as X-Men members Storm, Jean Grey, and Cyclops, respectively, in the movie, are among the cast members of the original X-Men trilogy who are reportedly making appearances in Deadpool 3. The threequel features content that “will melt your face,” according to Rob Liefeld, the creator of Deadpool, however their participation in the film has not yet been confirmed. Whether or whether he’s making a reference to the potential X-Men cameos, Liefeld assured the audience that they “are in for a great ride, period.”

In terms of the cast, Deadpool 3 will bring back a number of Reynolds’ co-stars from the first two Deadpool movies, including Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, Rob Delaney as Peter, and Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio. As Logan/Wolverine, Hugh Jackman will return in Deadpool 3, which will mark his first formal outing in the Deadpool series. Deadpool 2 previously made use of archival Jackman from X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009). On February 16, 2016, the original Deadpool movie hit theatres. Deadpool 2 followed two years later on May 18, 2018. Deadpool 3 was once scheduled to debut on November 8, 2024, as one of the last films of the MCU’s Phase 5. However, Marvel Studios recently rearranged its future feature lineup, which caused Deadpool 3 to be pushed up the release date list. The date, which had been set aside for Captain America: Brave New World until it was changed to July 26, 2024, will now be used for the release of the movie. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, Avengers: Secret Wars, Thunderbolts, Blade, and the Fantastic Four are among the other films whose release dates were changed.
