During a visit to San Diego Comic-Con, Rob Liefeld, the franchise’s inventor, declined to talk about the upcoming Deadpool movie, citing a pledge he made to Marvel and Disney to keep quiet about the endeavor. He was ready to offer more information, but he stayed true to his word and said nothing, insisting there was nothing to add. There appears to be a stringent rule of silence in place at the studio regarding the much-awaited film. Some information regarding Deadpool 3 has leaked despite the secrecy. Before the SAG-AFTRA strike, the movie’s production was allegedly well into its final stages.

Despite the lack of information on the narrative, it is anticipated that the movie would have the same tone as its predecessors, with the same irreverent humor and R-rated material that audiences have grown to adore. In addition to Ryan Reynolds, who will return as the title character from the previous movies, other well-known actors from those productions include Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Brianna Hildebrand, Shioli Kutsuna, and Stefan Kapi’i as Colossus. After Marvel Studios acquired 20th Century Fox, Deadpool 3 will be made under the Marvel Studios/Disney label and is scheduled to arrive in theatres on May 3, 2024.
