Director of Marvels confirms what everyone already thought

The Marvels director and co-screenwriter Nia DaCosta recently shared some distressing but anticipated news regarding the impending promotional tour for the film, although fans have long worried that this would happen. One of the most anticipated MCU events of the year is Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers’ second major appearance as Captain Marvel in The Marvels. However, due to the continuing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, it may not do as well at the box office as Marvel had hoped. In a recent interview, DaCosta herself acknowledged her own personal worries about the movie’s upcoming promotional tour. The publicity tour for The Marvels must start as soon as possible because the film is scheduled to debut in November, if the release date is not postponed once more. A worrying result of the strikes, in DaCosta’s perspective, is that Larson and the other cast members most likely won’t be able to attend the promo events. The director is optimistic that the strikes will end so that the actors may promote the movie since she believes that without Larson, viewers won’t be interested in what she has to say. I’m hoping I’m not marketing the movie by myself, the woman remarked. I’m not being noticed by anyone either. Where is Brie Larson, they’ll be asking.

DaCosta is aware that the strikes are bringing up problems that will take time to resolve; all she wants to see is some progress and people getting back to doing what they love. “I believe that a new world has emerged. Everything that is occurring is an existential quest being conducted by our industry. It won’t be resolved in just one bargaining session. The Marvels director said, “But I’m hopeful the studios can terminate the strike soon and get us all back to work – to work for them. The most recent teaser for The Marvels was released on August 31 and the November launch date was once again confirmed, thus Marvel appears to have begun The Marvels’ promotional tour. Although the film’s release date has already been postponed four times from its original July 2022 premiere, supporters are anxious that the fifth delay may be the charm given that neither strike is close to being resolved.
