Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the creators of Ms. Marvel, recently disclosed that Marvel Studios is debating whether to continue the Disney+ programme for an additional season until after The Marvels. The filmmaking team discussed the present state of Ms. Marvel Season 2 in an interview with The Discourse podcast, saying that they are “waiting for The Marvels, so that will decide what the next step will be.” So, we’re really looking forward to it, El Arbi said. Man, I can’t wait to watch it. I’m looking forward to it after seeing the trailers and seeing the entire family working hard in the background. Six episodes from the first season of Ms. Marvel were made available on Disney+ between June 8 and July 13, 2022. Kamala Khan, a 16-year-old Pakistani-American high school student on her road to becoming a superhero after discovering an ancient inheritance that enables her to create potent constructions out of cosmic energy, is portrayed by Iman Vellani in the lead role of the Marvel Cinematic Universe series. Since Season 1 garnered positive reviews from both reviewers and viewers, it is unexpected that Season 2 has not been renewed more than a year later. Sana Amanat, the show’s producer, urged fans to keep pushing for a second season at San Diego Comic-Con 2023, saying it is “great to see more demand.”

Following their various exploits in Captain Marvel, WandaVision, Ms. Marvel, and Secret Invasion, respectively, Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), Kamala Khan (Vellani), and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) are the main characters of The Marvels. The three female superheroes are put together by Nick Fury in the future MCU sequel because their capabilities have somehow gotten intertwined, causing them to switch locations anytime they use their powers. The Kree criminal Dar-Benn (Zawe Ashton), who is thought to be responsible for the entanglement, will also face off against the Marvels. Regarding the titular team’s sibling-like relationship, director Nia DaCosta recently spoke about it, saying, “I felt it would be fascinating to overlay an estranged family background and sister tale onto them. The oldest sister, Carol, is the prodigal, followed by Monica, the middle sister, whom Carol had a childhood friendship with and had pledged to reconnect with but had never done. The resolution between these two is what interests me more than all the switching things. “Kamala is the youngest, who hasn’t had the experience of living with this older sister but idolises her,” DaCosta continued. Carol seems a little jaded at the start of the movie, but Kamala shows her just how magnificent she is.
