Disney has announced a legendary MCU musical

Spread MCU News

A historical MCU musical will make its premiere at the Disneyland Resort this summer, according to Disney. Characters from the most recent Marvel movies and Disney+ programmes frequently appear at Avengers Campus, which is now located in the Disney California Park at the Disneyland Resort. Yet by incorporating a Disney+ narrative aspect into this reality, it appears that Disney is now extending their Marvel Universe connections to a whole new level.

Confirmed: The Musical Real-Life Rogers

The in-universe musical shown in Hawkeye on Disney+ will serve as the inspiration for a live production of Rogers: The Musical coming to Disney California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort. Rogers: the Musical will make its premiere this summer at the park’s Hyperion Stage, according to Marvel, who defined it as a condensed one-act play on Steve Rogers’ life. Disney additionally unveiled a teaser for the production, which included Peggy Carter glancing over a playbill for Rogers: The Musical.

Although Peggy Carter wasn’t in the Hawkeye song “Save the City,” Christopher Lennertz, who is reported to be writing this real-life musical, also wrote the music for the Agent Carter television series. The next scene in the film shows Peggy walking towards the theatre with the “coming soon” sign on its front.

This is the complete teaser:

It’s important to note that the Hyperion Theater at the theme park is located just by the entrance of Avengers Campus, giving it the ideal fit both aesthetically and conceptually. The opening night for Rogers: The Musical has not yet been announced, despite the fact that it has been advertised as a temporary production.

This information shouldn’t come as a surprise, given Disney recently published a casting notice that revealed their plans for a real-world Rogers: The Musical. It is unexpected that the play would only consist of one act and centre on Agent Peggy Carter, played by Hayley Atwell. This makes sense because, according to reports, Hawkeye’s “Save the City” song served as the show’s Act 1 conclusion, indicating that the focus of the series will be on Captain America’s origin narrative prior to 2012’s The Avengers.

However, this is not the only brand-new attraction that Disney and Marvel have planned for the Avengers Campus at Disneyland. Disney announced the creation of an MCU Multiversal ride with King Thanos for the 2022 D23 Expo. Rogers: The Musical is proof of Disney and Marvel’s enthusiasm in extending Avengers Campus and giving fans more ways to experience the MCU, even if no other information regarding that attraction has yet been made public.
