The impending entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Deadpool 3, may be further impacted by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes gripping Hollywood, casting severe doubt on the film’s planned release date. The Deadpool threequel might be one of several films that is delayed as a result of the strikes, according to Reports. One source said that the 2024 release schedule for films is “not real” in light of the current situation. Director Shawn Levy said that despite being halfway through principle photography and seven weeks into primary photography, Deadpool 3 still has a sizable quantity of footage to film. Deadpool 3 is currently scheduled to open in theatres on May 3, 2024. The most recent information on Deadpool 3’s chances was revealed during a Disney earnings call in August, when it was revealed that the media giant no longer had the MCU film scheduled for release in the first half of the year. Following the start of the SAG-AFTRA strike, which was brought on by a broken contract with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), production on Deadpool 3 and numerous other blockbusters slated for 2024 was delayed.
While the WGA’s 146-day strike was ended by a tentative deal with the AMPTP on September 24, the SAG-AFTRA strike continues with little sign of upcoming discussions while performers wait to resume work in the midst of the protracted halt. Due to the WGA strike, Marvel had to postpone many of its scheduled films in June, including the future Avengers films, the Blade remake, the Fantastic Four reboot, and Thunderbolts. Filming for Deadpool 3 started in London in May of this year, and set photographs subsequently surfaced showcasing both Wolverine’s and the titular character’s attire. The threequel will be the first R-rated picture in the MCU, and star Karan Soni has promised that it would be just as nasty as the first two films in the franchise.Follow us to get free & fast MCU Movies/Shows Leaks & News
