Filming the decisive battle for Secret Invasion was Emilia Clarke’s best day ever

The new G’iah of Secret Invasion, Emilia Clarke, has spoken up about what it was like to film all the action sequences for the show’s dramatic climax. Clarke recently shared details from an interview she gave in June for Marvel.com about her experience playing G’iah. The Secret Invasion actor gushed that the battle sequence between Gravik and G’iah had been “the most amount of fun” to film, praising in particular all the stunt work she had to pull off.

The sequence Clarke was alluding to is from Marvel’s Secret Invasion Episode 6 “Home,” where Gravik and G’iah undergo the Harvest and transform into Super-Skrulls by absorbing every superhuman power currently in existence, including Captain Marvel’s. The two formerly buddies engage in combat and attempt to knock each other out in the air before G’iah finally overcomes Gravik and kills him. According to Clarke, she particularly enjoyed the moment where she had to be “on the wires” to make it look as though she was flying. “There was a part of this fight where I was on a [stunt] chariot,” she said. The running was all being done by me at that point, although I wasn’t actually running. I was riding a chariot that a vehicle was pulling. My favourite part is when they put me on the wires, though. The Secret Invasion actress apparently couldn’t get enough of flying since the stunt team reportedly “couldn’t get her out of the wires.”

She referred to the entire event as her “best day ever,” saying that she loved the surge of excitement and that was why she loved it so much. “I’m a theme park-riding kind of gal,” Clarke remarked. A trapeze, please. A roller coaster, please. That is precisely how it felt. I couldn’t stop laughing. I couldn’t help but laugh. Sincerely, that was the most enjoyable day I’ve ever spent on a set.

Not all of the battle scene’s final action scenes, though, were as enjoyable as flying through the air. In addition, Clarke was required to “strike a superhero pose” when Gravik was hit by her character. The Secret Invasion actress found the leaping action to be pretty unpleasant, despite the fact that the scene in question was amazing on television. “You just stand there, and then you have to exit the screen,” she continued. You respond, “Well, I can’t fly.” Due to the fact that I am not now connected to the wires, I will just have to act absolutely ridiculously cruel. and then spring. That is the case. The most disappointing action. You have been developing. been engaging in all negative speech. After that, you just hop. Nevertheless, considering that Clarke thought the filming day was her “best” one yet, the change wasn’t too awful.
