With Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the first of six Phase Five films, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will launch. Expectations are high for the threequel because it serves as the first in a brand-new series of blockbuster movies. It has now been confirmed that the film will include a tonne of Easter eggs and is anticipated to pave the way for upcoming MCU instalments.
In a tweet to its followers, IMAX confirmed that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was not only made specifically for IMAX, but will also feature a number of Easter eggs that you can find “in glorious 1.90:1.”
We don’t yet know exactly what these Easter eggs will be filled with. This instalment, however, is by far the biggest in size and scope of all the Ant-Man movies, as evidenced by the fact that the film’s producer Stephen Broussard compared it to blockbusters like Captain America: Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, both of which had enormous implications for the rest of the Infinity Saga.
The newest teaser for the movie has already shown a few Easter eggs of its own, including Yellowjacket’s appearance again—Ant-worst Man’s foe from the previous film. Fans also can’t stop talking about M.O.D.O.K.’s entrance, which is another aspect.
All eyes are on Phase Five to pick up the pace after Phase Four’s enjoyable but not particularly ground-breaking Multiverse Saga episode. Many people believed Phase Four’s roster would make Marvel’s finest film ever, but as we now know from disappointing films like Eternals, that was not the case.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, The Marvels, Captain America: New World Order, Thunderbolts, and Blade will all be part of Phase 5. We are hopeful that we can now lay the framework for the events that will ultimately climax in Avengers: Secret Wars in 2025 thanks to Quantumania’s promised Easter eggs.
