Prior to its scheduled launch on Disney+ the following week, Secret Invasion has already received its first reviews. While more reviews will be released when reviewers who missed the opportunity to see and assess the Marvel series do so, those that have already been released offer a largely positive image. Secret Invasion presently has a 67% approval rating out of 33 reviews as of the time of writing, which is a reasonably good start for the programe. Many reviews appreciated Samuel L Jackson’s performance as Nick Fury and the inventiveness of Secret Invasion.

For the time being, Secret Invasion appears to be a true serial narrative within the clumsy Marvel system. One wonders whether it will eventually show its real nature, much like the evil creatures at its heart, but for the time being, its humanity makes for a pretty decent look.
