I Am Groot, a Disney+ limited series, has a full season that is free to watch on YouTube thanks to Disney’s choice to publish the episodes on a dedicated channel. Disney posted all five of the inaugural season’s episodes as individual videos on the official Marvel HQ account. These episodes often featured short-form Marvel Studios content and excerpts from other MCU movies. The first full episode of a Disney+ Marvel cartoon to be made available outside of the studio’s own streaming channel is I Am Groot. I Am Groot is a five-part, 15-minute animated series that features scenes from the first two Guardians of the Galaxy movies and features Groot from the Guardians of the Galaxy, who has just emerged from a pot after the events of the first movie. The series, which focuses more on quick, hilarious specials featuring the fan favourite character than on world-building or character development, is totally canon to the MCU as a whole.

Groot takes his first steps out of the pot he grew from in the first season’s five episodes, which were released as five standalone short films on Disney+. He also encounters alien woodland creatures, engages in dance battles with a goo monster, and creates sentimental artwork for his lifelong friend Rocket Raccoon. The most prominent appearance by a character from the Guardians is Bradley Cooper’s quick return to the role of Rocket in the series’ last episode. Of course, the Marvel HQ channel also provides a wide range of additional content, from Marvel movie snippets to in-depth behind-the-scenes documentaries describing the production of several of the MCU movies. Following the show’s removal from Disney+, the Marvel Studios Legends series, which portrayed the on-screen beginnings of several of the MCU’s well-known characters, was recently uploaded to the channel. As the second season is scheduled to show exclusively on Disney+ later this year, neither Disney nor Marvel Studios have made any preparations for additional episodes to appear on the website. Similar strategies have been employed by other businesses to advertise forthcoming seasons of their series, such as Paramount’s uploading of the third season of Star Trek: Lower Decks on

YouTube and other platforms in advance of the release of the fourth season.
