Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym is scheduled to make another cameo in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, but a recent statement from the actor has stated that he will only return in a hypothetical Ant-Man 4 on one condition. Kang the Conqueror, one of Marvel’s most dangerous villains, will be the target of Team Ant-Man in the third MCU movie. Given that his wife, Janet Van Dyne, has a “very extensive past” with the time-traveling antagonist, Douglas’ Hank Pym is anticipated to have a prominent part in the film. It is uncertain whether Pym will survive the events of Quantumania or how he will play a role in perhaps defeating Kang. If so, Douglas has updated his plans for what Pym will experience in Ant-Man 4.
Hank Pym’s hopes for Ant-Man 4 are revealed by Michael Douglas

Actor Michael Douglas, who plays Hank Pym, was asked by The Hollywood Reporter if he would return for a fourth Ant-Man film. Douglas stated that he would come back “as long as [Hank Pym] could die.” The seasoned actor discussed what it means to still be present in the third Ant-Man movie in a different interview with Variety. Douglas says he’s always “glad to be there” and is appreciative for the opportunity to play Hank Pym in the Ant-Man series.
“It lasts a lifetime, A whole generation is involved. I believe you have spoken with Kathryn Newton. So there is now a third generation present. It’s undoubtedly pleasant and consistent. It’s kind of a nice time every five years, like, “Oh man, we’ve got to get back to the suits and all that.” Just take pleasure in it. Being there makes me happy. I always enjoy spending time with the entire cast and crew.“
In Ant-Man 3 Will Hank Pym Pass Away?
Michael Douglas’ most recent remarks imply that he is already OK with his fate should Hank Pym pass away in a potential Ant-Man 4 movie. The seasoned actor’s willingness for Pym to pass away, though, could provide a clue as to what will happen to him in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Seeing Pym die at the hands of Kang the Conqueror would elevate the MCU antagonist while also establishing the impression that he’s obviously not kidding around. Pym’s death in Ant-Man 3 would be startling owing to the franchise’s family-friendly tone.
Given that Janet Van Dyne and Kang had a history together in the Quantum Realm, it would be unpleasant but fitting to see Pym die at the hands of the antagonist, making it more heartbreaking and tragic. In any event, Douglas had had a successful stint as Hank Pym in the MCU, so his potential demise wouldn’t diminish his reputation.
On February 17, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will make its theatrical debut.
