Krysten Ritter, star of Jessica Jones, is hoping to make a comeback to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She is only awaiting an invitation to return to the role, handing the initiative off to Marvel Studios. Ritter played the title character in three seasons of the Jessica Jones series that were previously available to view on Netflix. The program had ties to other Marvel series, including Daredevil, that comprised the “Defenders-Verse” at the time. Since then, Marvel Studios has affirmed that Jessica Jones, Daredevil, and the other related programs are canonical MCU programs. In light of this, Ritter was questioned in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter on a possible comeback. She said that if the executives at Marvel Studios were to call her, she would “be there in a heartbeat”.
Ritter declared, “I would definitely come back.” “I’m prepared, and I would definitely be there right away. I adore this character so much, and I have known her for a very long time. She’s a really significant role to me and many women and men, and I portrayed her for five years. I could thus already have an extra jacket if the need arises.”
“I am ready, and I would, of course, be there in a heartbeat. She’s a character who I absolutely love, and she was a part of my life for so long.”
Since Daredevil actors have already been making frequent appearances in the MCU, the door is undoubtedly open for a potential comeback. Before Vincent D’Onofrio returned as Wilson Fisk in the Disney+ series Hawkeye, Charlie Cox made a surprising comeback as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home. In the soon-to-be television series Daredevil: Born Again, which also stars Jon Bernthal from The Punisher again, both will be leading roles.
