If Ms. Marvel, a Disney+ and Marvel Studios series, gets approved, lead actress Iman Vellani stated that she hopes to see the titular superheroines develop in Season 2. When asked if there was hope for a season like this in an interview, Vellani replied that she wanted to go more on the people that the programme developed in Kamala Khan’s village in the fictitious season. Vellani continued, “I want to see Kamala mature a little bit.” “I hope she attends college and has a prom. To be honest, I’m experiencing life via this persona. I thus want her to have every experience that I was unable to have due to the epidemic so that I may attend prom and graduate.” Directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah stated in September that Marvel Studios was holding off on making a decision about a second season of Ms. Marvel until after The Marvels. El Arbi said at the time, “So we’re very much looking forward to The Marvels.” “Dude, I’m so excited to see it. Looking forward to that, it’s wonderful to see the trailers, the entire family there, and Iman Vellani working so well.” Prior to this, rumours from 2022 claimed that Season 2 had been approved, but there had been no official word on the matter.

Furthermore, Sana Amanat, producer and co-creator of Kamala Khan, expressed her encouragement for fan desire for Season 2 during the Women of Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con, saying, “It’s great to see more demand.” Complain, you know. Let’s have a Season 2! I’m glad you folks are complaining to Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios.” Going on to discuss The Marvels, Vellani mentioned Kamala’s part in the story, saying she believed Kamala “had certain expectations about what this teamwork should look like,” based on stories she had heard about the Avengers and the comic books. She continued, saying, “So, it’s not exactly what she dreamed it was gonna be, so I think Kamala’s kind of the glue of the group and holds these guys together.” The actor talked about her first encounter with her co-star and veteran of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Samuel L. Jackson, more recently. She said that she was “so in a state of utter shock that he exists beyond a 16:9 frame” and that it was strange to see Jackson in person.
