In brand-new Marvel Cinematic Universe fan art, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Mark Ruffalo as Hulk engage in the ultimate showdown. Even though there won’t be many Marvel films released in 2024, Hugh Jackman’s standalone film from the MCU is already shaping up to be the biggest of the year because he’ll be playing Logan again in Deadpool & Wolverine. For the first time since 2017, Jackman will don the claws once more, as he will now truly collaborate with Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson. With Jackman playing a pivotal role in the Deadpool & Wolverine ensemble, fans are eager to see how the MCU resurrects their favorite X-Men hero. Meanwhile, fan art of a fictitious Hulk vs. Wolverine movie that pitted Jackman and Ruffalo’s characters against one another was shared by Art of Time Travel.
The fan art piece’s depiction of the Hulk is primarily based on the superhero’s previous MCU appearances. When Ruffalo joined the cast of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, he made the revelation that he was a father for the first time in his MCU appearance as Bruce Banner/Hulk. It raises the issue of who would prevail in a fight between the two Marvel legends, even though a Hulk vs. Wolverine film may not materialize anytime soon. Bruce would probably lose if he had to battle Wolverine now. The Hulk is a capable fighter. Wolverine would probably have a significant advantage because Wolverine is continuously aggressive, especially since Hulk and Bruce have united to become “Smart Hulk,” who is undoubtedly less vicious than he was in the early MCU.
However, Logan would most likely lose if Wolverine and the Hulk were engaged in combat prior to Avengers: Infinity War. The Hulk that audiences had seen in the previous films shown little to no control, thus if he unleashed his entire fury on Logan, it would undoubtedly result in Wolveine’s demise. But Bruce would almost certainly be the one to lose if a showdown were to occur at this time, regardless of the form of Wolverine he faced. It remains to be seen whether Hulk and Wolverine will ever appear on screen together, as it is uncertain whether Jackman will take on the role once more following Deadpool & Wolverine. It seems quite likely that Jackman’s Wolverine will return to The Multiverse Saga at least once more, even if they choose not to battle it out. For now, though, fans of the MCU can anticipate his spectacular comeback in Deadpool & Wolverine this summer.
