Dark new MCU fan art imagines one of Kang the Conqueror’s villainous variants as the antagonist for Moon Knight season 2. In Phase 4 of Moon Knight onDisney+, Oscar Isaac made his stage debut as Marc Spector. He also played Spector’s side characters, Steven Grant and Jake Lockley. Unbeknownst to his previous selves, mercenary Spector transformed into the superpowered Moon Knight after making a deal with the Egyptian god Khonshu. One of the most well-liked MCU Phase 4 projects, Moon Knight, has generated calls for a second season since its 2022 premiere, but Marvel Studios hasn’t officially announced that a second season is being developed. There have been many theories regarding the continuation of Marc Spector’s story in Moon Knight season 2, even though Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed anything. The most well-known theory, however, places the series’ antagonist as Rama-Tut, a Kang the Conqueror variant. New fan art posted by digital_fz features the Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh Rama-Tut from Moon Knight season 2, towering over Marc Spector’s Moon Knight.
The Rama-Tut variant hasn’t been seen or heard from since Jonathan Majors made his debut in the mid-credits scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The mysterious Kang the Conqueror variant might be developed even further in Moon Knight season 2. Marvel Studios had long maintained that Loki would be the only Disney+ series to receive two seasons, so it was previously anticipated that Moon Knight would be a limited series similar to WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. However, a significant redesign of the MCU’s Disney+ series has been confirmed by Marvel Studios, which may result in additional series receiving follow-up seasons, possibly including Moon Knight. Oscar Isaac might don the Moon Knight costume in a future MCU installment, as the cast and crew of Moon Knight season 1 have consistently expressed hope that a sequel season could be created.
It seems likely that the villain from Moon Knight season 1 will return as the antagonist for season 2. This is after the villain made his real debut in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and was teased at Rama-Tut in season 1. Naturally, if Marvel Studios chooses to move forward with Kang the Conqueror’s development before 2026’s Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, which has recently undergone a number of significant cast changes. The possibility of a different villain facing Marc Spector in Moon Knight season 2 arises from recent rumours that Marvel Studios may be moving away from Kang. However, it remains to be seen if the season is actually developed.
