According to Newton in the featurette, “Cassie Lang wants to transform the world.” “She enjoys the commotion, wants to engage in conflict, and desires to be there during it all. These superheroes are having an impact on her.” What are the teenager’s two main influences? Scott Lang, her father, is also known as Ant-Man, and Hope van Dyne, also known as Wasp, is his lover. In the latest film, Cassie has a shrinking suit of her own, much like they do, and she oversaw the development of the technology that communicates with the Quantum Realm. Things swiftly spiral out of hand as she, her father, Hope, Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) are drawn into the realm.
In the footage, Newton quips, “She simply wants to be a superhero like her dad.” She only wants to win him over. Scott also hopes to make an impression on his daughter. Cassie (played at the time by Abby Ryder Fortson) is a young child in the 2015 film “Ant-Man,” which introduced the characters. Her mother Maggie (Judy Greer), a petty crook who just got out of jail, seeks to shield her from Scott. Cassie, who makes an appearance as a young child in the 2018 film “Ant-Man and the Wasp,” tells her father that she wants to be a superhero alongside him. However, as shown in “Avengers: Endgame,” Scott is trapped in the Quantum Realm at the conclusion of the film and doesn’t escape until five years later (2019). By that point, Scott has lost so much time with his daughter and the year is 2023.
Their romance takes centre stage in the upcoming movie, and nobody knows where that will go. In the comics, Cassie does turn into a superhero and goes by the aliases Stature and Stinger. She is a part of the Young Avengers as Stature, and she and her father are superhero pair Stinger. The decision she makes in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” will have to be seen.
Many new characters, including M.O.D.O.K. and Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors), will be introduced to moviegoers in Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” which hits theatres on February 17. (Corey Stoll). But Cassie Lang, portrayed by Kathryn Newton, a new character from the Ant-Man series, will also be reintroduced in the film. Newton and the rest of the actors describe Cassie’s journey and how she came to be the focus of the new movie in this exclusive featurette. View the video above!
