The “Clawsover of the Century” is what Marvel is calling their impending Infinity Paws, an animal-focused infinity comics crossover event. According to Marvel, the announcement was made by Ryan Penagos, vice president and creative executive, at the New York Comic Con’s Next Big Thing panel. The comics will be written and illustrated by veteran Infinity Comic author Jason Loo (Lucky The Pizza Dog, X-Men Unlimited) and fan favourite illustrator and colorist Nao Fuji (Marvel Meow). Favourite animals from the Marvel Universe are included in the series, including Jeff the Land Shark, Carol Danvers’ cat Chewie, Loki the Alligator, and Lucky the Pizza Dog, who each have their own Infinity Comics.
Marvel’s Infinity Paws series has Loo delighted, and he expressed his enthusiasm by saying, “Marvel Meow lovers will be in for a treat! Or candy,” the author said. We have practically all of your favourite Marvel dogs in this massive crossover, from the furry ones to the scaly ones, says Loo, who is thrilled about the characters and his co-worker. And I’m overjoyed to be working with the really amazing Nao Fuji to illustrate this series,” he exclaimed. There are more significant crossovers from Marvel outside the Infinity Paws series. Additionally, the company-wide crossover Blood Hunt was revealed during NYCC. The plot centres on a significant vampire assault on the Marvel Universe. Jed MacKay will pen the primary miniseries for the crossover event, while renowned illustrators Pepe Larraz and Marte Gracia will provide the art. Blood Hunt will include tie-ins in other comic book series and certain highlight miniseries connected into the event, much like virtually every contemporary notable crossover event. MacKay, who is presently working on Moon Knight, The Avengers, and Doctor Strange, hinted at the large cast that will be in the show. “We frequently include vampires in our works; there is some nasty blood there. What happens if the opposite foot has the shoe on? In addition to Blade and the Avengers, there will be more vampires than you can throw a stick at, Doctor Strange, Miles Morales, and Moon Knight’s Midnight Mission, the writer stated.
