Kit Harington denies involvement in Blade movie, discusses Marvel future and Black Knight character.

Kit Harington, well known for playing Jon Snow in Game of Thrones, has addressed and thoroughly dispelled rumors that he could star in the forthcoming Blade film. Although a post-credits sequence in Marvel’s Eternals hinted at Harington’s character, Dane Whitman, becoming the Black Knight, Harington made it clear at Superhero Comic-Con that he was not connected to Blade. He reaffirmed his non-involvement and emphasized that the character was never intended to be a part of the Blade movie.

Harington expressed anxiety about what lies ahead in regards to his Marvel future. He acknowledged the intriguing facets of his persona, especially the investigation of mental illness and addiction. Harington highlighted his desire to delve more into the character’s complexity and his great anticipation for the chance to play him in the hopes that the Black Knight plot would be explored. He was unable to give any specifics regarding his role, though.

The movie has unfortunately been temporarily halted owing to the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike, so those wanting to see Blade on the big screen will have to wait. Mahershala Ali, an Academy Award winner, will play the renowned vampire hunter, while Nic Pizzolatto, famed for his work on True Detective, will write the script. Fans may be disappointed by the delay, but it also gives the filmmakers a chance to polish the screenplay and provide a fascinating, eagerly awaited addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
