Leaked Post-Credits Scene for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

When it came to writing the post-credits scene for the eagerly awaited sequel, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the filmmakers behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, encountered a difficult problem. The sequel ends on a dramatic suspense that won’t be addressed until the release of Beyond the Spider-Verse: Miles Morales in 2024, despite the fact that the movie was previously advertised as the first installment of a two-part plot. We’re left wondering what will happen to Miles Morales as he gets stuck in Earth-42, a parallel reality, where he meets an other version of himself who just so happens to be the notorious costumed criminal known as the Prowler. Miles Morales is masterfully portrayed by Shameik Moore. Since Miles’ father Jefferson Morales (played by Brian Tyree Henry) has passed away and his uncle Aaron Davis (played by Mahershala Ali) is the Prowler’s active accomplice, this gloomy reality is without a Spider-Man.

The Spot, played by Jason Schwartzman, is introduced in the movie as an interesting rival. This multiverse-hopping supervillain controls interdimensional portals that were accidentally created at the Alchemax collider. The Spot gradually gathers enormous strength and develops into a terrifying threat throughout the multiverse. Although a partially produced scene that would have demonstrated The Spot’s comic side was regrettably cut from the end movie, it showed his fruitless attempts to fill his empty by pouring liquids into his portals. The original post-credits scene, however, would have shown The Spot’s atonement as he easily vanquishes his former tormentors at a supervillain pub. Although it wasn’t included in the final cut, the creators still adore this sequence because it highlights the Spider-Verse’s capacity for complex storytelling.

The Spider-Verse sequel instead picks for a title card that teases Miles Morales’ continuing adventure in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse in place of the customary post-credits sequence. The choice to forgo a post-credits tag was discussed by Phil Lord, who acknowledged that the cliffhanger they had created was extraordinarily potent and hard to top. Fans are anxiously anticipating the answer to Miles’ problem and the dissection of the web of possibilities that makes up the multiverse in the upcoming chapter.
